Part-Time Evening School Cleaner

Location: Bowmanville, ON
Schedule: Monday to Friday | 9:00 PM –1:00 AM
Pay: $18.00 per hour

Generations Cleaning is currently seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Part-Time Evening Cleaner to join our team at a school in Bowmanville.

This is an after-hours cleaning position, allowing you to work in a quiet environment once students and staff have left for the day. If you take pride in your work and enjoy working independently, we'd love to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

Clean and maintain classrooms, music rooms, offices, the front office, staff room, gymnasium, hallways, common areas, entrance/vestibule areas, stairwells, and four portable classrooms.
Vacuum carpets, sweep and mop hard floors, and auto-scrub gym floors where applicable.
Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces including desks, doors, door handles, light switches, phones, railings, drinking fountains, bottle filling stations, and other frequently touched areas.
Thoroughly clean and sanitize washrooms, including toilets, urinals, sinks, countertops, mirrors, partitions, dispensers, and floors.
Spot clean walls, doors, and other surfaces to remove visible marks and spills.
Empty garbage and recycling, replacing liners as required, and maintain all assigned areas in a clean, safe, and professional condition.
Report maintenance concerns or cleaning deficiencies to management.
Follow all company cleaning procedures and health & safety standards.

Qualifications:

Previous commercial cleaning experience is considered an asset but is not required.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong attention to detail and a reliable work ethic.
Physically capable of standing, walking, bending, lifting, and performing cleaning duties throughout the shift.
Reliable transportation to and from Bowmanville.
Must be able to successfully pass a Criminal Record Check (Vulnerable Sector Screening may be required).
