Commercial Cleaner – Full-Time (Day & Afternoon Shifts)

Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Afternoon Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM

Job Description:

Generations Cleaning is currently seeking reliable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Commercial Cleaners to join our team at a commercial facility in Brampton, Ontario.

We are looking for individuals who take pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and professional environment. The successful candidates will be responsible for performing daily janitorial duties throughout the facility, including offices, washrooms, kitchens, lunchrooms, warehouse areas, entrances, and common spaces.

Experience operating commercial floor-cleaning equipment, including auto scrubbers, is considered a strong asset.

Key Responsibilities:

Washroom Cleaning & Sanitization:

Thoroughly clean and disinfect toilets, urinals, sinks, countertops, and fixtures.
Refill toilet paper, paper towels, soap, and other washroom supplies.
Sweep and mop floors using appropriate cleaning products.
Clean mirrors, partitions, doors, and high-touch surfaces.
Empty garbage receptacles and replace liners.
Ensure washrooms remain clean, sanitized, and fully stocked throughout the shift.

Office & Administrative Areas:

Vacuum carpets and sweep and mop hard-surface flooring.
Dust and wipe desks, workstations, tables, and accessible surfaces.
Empty garbage and recycling bins and replace liners.
Clean interior glass, doors, and high-touch surfaces.
Maintain boardrooms, meeting rooms, and shared office spaces.

Kitchen & Lunchroom Cleaning:

Clean and sanitize countertops, sinks, tables, and chairs.
Wipe exterior surfaces of appliances, including microwaves, refrigerators, and vending machines.
Sweep and mop floors, removing spills and debris.
Empty garbage and recycling receptacles.
Maintain clean and sanitary eating and food preparation areas.

Warehouse & Industrial Floor Cleaning:

Operate commercial floor-cleaning equipment, including auto scrubbers and floor machines.
Sweep and scrub warehouse floors, aisles, and designated walkways.
Remove dirt, dust, debris, and spills from designated areas.
Maintain warehouse entrances, loading areas, and surrounding common spaces.
Follow all warehouse safety procedures when working around equipment and machinery.
Properly clean, maintain, and store floor-cleaning equipment after use.

Entrances, Hallways & Common Areas:

Clean and maintain main entrances, vestibules, and reception areas.
Sweep, mop, and vacuum flooring as required.
Clean entrance glass, doors, handles, and touchpoints.
Maintain entrance mats and remove tracked-in dirt and debris.
Dust ledges, baseboards, and accessible surfaces.
Ensure all common areas remain clean, organized, and presentable.

General Cleaning Duties:

Complete assigned daily cleaning tasks and checklists.
Respond to spills and cleaning concerns as required.
Safely handle and store cleaning chemicals and equipment.
Report maintenance concerns, damages, or supply shortages to management.
Follow company health and safety policies and procedures.
Maintain a consistent standard of cleanliness throughout the facility.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Previous commercial, industrial, or janitorial cleaning experience preferred.
Experience operating auto scrubbers or commercial floor machines is a strong asset.
Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision.
Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.
Physically capable of standing, walking, bending, and performing repetitive cleaning tasks throughout the shift.
Ability to safely lift and move cleaning supplies and equipment.
Understanding of WHMIS and safe cleaning procedures is an asset.
Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
