Generations Cleaning is currently seeking an experienced Cleaning Lead Hand to join our team at a large warehouse facility in Ajax, Ontario.
This is a full-time leadership role for a motivated cleaning professional who enjoys leading by example, maintaining high standards, and supporting the development of cleaning staff.
Position Details:
- Location: Ajax, ON
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Pay Rate: $19.50 per hour
- Employment Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities:
Perform daily cleaning duties throughout the facility, including:
- Warehouse areas.
- Washrooms.
- Cafeteria and lunchroom areas.
- Offices.
- Entrances and common areas.
- Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed to company and client standards.
- Assist with training and onboarding new cleaning staff.
- Provide guidance, support, and coaching to existing team members.
- Monitor cleaning quality and address performance concerns as required.
- Communicate supply requirements and submit supply orders to the office.
- Report maintenance issues, safety concerns, and operational needs.
- Support site management in maintaining a safe, clean, and organized facility.
- Lead by example through professionalism, attendance, and work quality.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of commercial cleaning experience.
- Minimum 2 years of Lead Hand, Supervisor, or Team Lead experience in a commercial cleaning environment.
- Strong knowledge of commercial cleaning procedures, equipment, and chemicals.
- Ability to train, motivate, and support team members.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Reliable, dependable, and able to work independently.
- Ability to perform physical cleaning duties, including standing, walking, lifting, and bending throughout the shift.
